Garage doors can be a nightmare to choose. Size is rarely an issue thanks to most garage door fittings being standardised, but imagine the situation. You buy yourself a new house and the garage doors like awful; just disgusting colours and design and you find yourself desperate to buy a new one (or two if you have a double garage, which is a whole other issue entirely) then you will need to go shopping for some new ones.

Garage door salesmen are often not particularly fun – so you are not in for a fantastic shopping experience anyway. The range of styles on offer, too, is not going to be inspiring as you look for something to complete the front of your house. Having said that the designs and mechanical thinking behind the scenes is often a little more interesting.
