Our neighbours have long been ahead of the curve when it comes to home design. Not so much in interior design but when it comes to the exterior of their house, they are always doing something. They built themselves a pagoda out the back (after we had contracted them to do one for us) and since then have shoved a jacuzzi into it as well. After that they moved forward and installed solar panels on their roof (which is something I like a lot) and have converted their garage into a work room.
They’ve partitioned it so that the very front is a small space for odds and ends and bits and pieces, the rest of the room (blocked off by a wall) is used for work. Yet the garage door remains as a main entranceway to the room since the look of it remains in keeping with the rest of the house and the original design. Granted, it is a newer door (quite a fancy wood finish one) but it’s still a garage door.
